Work Party

Ryan's work hosted another successful family picnic this week.  I picked Garrett up after work and we stopped by for some fun.
Only six months ago Garrett was not so fond of the animals in the petting zoo.  The last time we were at the family picnic, Garrett wanted me to hold him the whole time because he was scared.  This year he ran right on in to check them out.

No picnic is complete without a pony ride.  Garrett's face cracks me up because he is so serious in all of these pictures.  He's always focused and takes in every single moment.

Garrett requested a balloon sword so he could be like a pirate.  He would say, "Arrr matey," and "swashbuckling."

With bounce houses, pony rides, and much more for the kids to enjoy, you'd think this guy would be content.  But, no.  He was more interested in taking rides on the golf carts.  Daddy took him on a few rides to the shops before we headed home for the night.
Somewhere along the way we ended up with a balloon puppy that would ride in the car with us for the next week until it finally shriveled up in the heat.

I love that Garrett thinks that there is always a party at Daddy's work.  When we drive by on the way to school in the mornings he always says something about going to see the animals, driving the cart, or going to the car show.  Ha!  I'm sure Daddy wishes there was a party everyday too!
