Last year we started a little tradition of going to Galveston with our sweet friends, the Martinez family. Before starting back to school this year, we packed up and headed to the beach.
We did some site seeing and shopping on the Strand. We watched a candy maker pull taffy.
We came across some crazy blue trees.
We drove out to visit the Kemah Boardwalk, and just barely dodged a pretty nasty rain storm.
We fed sting rays, and watched them do tricks to impress the audience. They would literally gain speed while swimming and leap, soar, and splash near by guests. Some would swim just at the edge of tank and use their fins to splash water at bystanders.
Holy seaweed Batman! I've never seen so much seaweed in all my life. There were massive amounts floating around in the water, freaking us out each time it would wrap around or brush up against an ankle or leg.
Most importantly we spent time relaxing and spending time with our dear friends.
