September 1st marks the beginning of dove season. The weekend was incredibly hot. The boys rigged up small AC units to blow into their tents. Yes, it was ridiculous, but smart!
Garrett and I drove out to the land to visit everyone, but we only lasted about an hour. He wanted to ride 4-wheelers with Daddy so bad, but it was too hot. He rode around a few times, but he would return red faced from the heat.
We walked the perimeter of the camping area several times, looking at all of the different animal decoys. And just like a typical boy, he was sure to stomp on all of the dried up cow patties in his path.
After a fun opening weekend, we spent Monday relaxing at home and enjoying our Labor Day holiday.
