Easter Weekend

Thanks once again to Pinterest, I was able to whip up a little something for Garrett's teachers at school.  I made some cute Easter s'mores for them to enjoy.

While we were worried that the day would be filled with rain, much to our surprise the sun came out and the day was beautiful.  This was Garrett's first Easter basket.  He loved the little wind up chick, laughing deep belly laughs as it hopped along the table.  After looking through his Easter basket, we packed up for the day and drove to spend some time with our families.

The Easter service was great, and Garrett enjoyed some time in the nursery.  When we picked him up we also picked up his "Ouch Report."  I should not have been surprised, he's been quite accident prone recently.  He knocked something over and it hit him in the head, leaving a minor scratch.  It didn't seem to bother him.  He was busily playing with toys and had apparently eaten his weight in Ritz crackers.

After church, we met up with some family for lunch.  G flirted with our waitress and some sweet elderly ladies that were passing by our table.  He's recently learned how to squeeze both eyes shut wink, and the ladies fall for it every time.

We went back to my parents' house and they gave G his Easter basket and we did a quick indoor egg hunt.  We filled his eggs with animal crackers and cute bunny grahams my mom found.  His attention span isn't very long, so he only found about 4 eggs before losing interest.  He did enjoy having us put the eggs in his basket so he could pour them out, and eating the crackers!

Mom and Dad gave me some beautiful yellow tulips, my favorite!

Aunt Diana, Uncle Richard, and Dedra gave G a cute Easter basket too.  He loved playing with the glow ball!

Later that day we went to see Grandma and Grandpa.  Grandma made some sandwich wraps and cheesecake bites for us.  We spend some time outside on the patio visiting and chasing G around.  Garrett was spoiled today and received his 4th Easter basket.  He wasn't too sure about the grass he found in the bottom of the basket, but he loved his new books!

On our way home, we stopped by the house to see if there was any progress on the brick process and they are almost finished!  Hopefully they will finish on Monday before the rain starts up again.  The electrical work is finished, and they also had all of the sheet rock completed.  I love how the arches are coming along too!

Happy Easter!
