Grandpa is 70!

10 years ago Ryan and I went on our first date.  He took me to his dad's 60th birthday party where I met all of his family and friends.  This weekend we celebrated his dad's 70th birthday back at the same place where it all started, Southern Junction.  We had great steaks, enjoyed the band playing, did some country dancing, and stayed up WAY past my bed time!  I was already yawning at 9:00...my how things have changed!

There were a ton of people who came to celebrate the big 7-0!!  I think Grandpa had a blast!!

Little G stayed the night with my Aunt Diana so Mimi and Pawpaw could join us. We all stayed the night at Ryan's parent's house so we wouldn't have to make the long drive back home. The next morning, we woke up and spent some time with Ryan's parents before heading to my dad's family reunion. 

 

 
I was so sad that I only took one picture at the reunion.  My Aunt Shirley even reminded me several times to take some pictures.  Garrett was really fussy, and I was preoccupied with trying to keep him from throwing a fit.  My parents took some with their cameras, so I'll have to borrow some from them.  We enjoyed visiting with everyone and got to have some of my Aunt Shirley's famous chocolate pie!  Yum!  I did borrow one picture of my mom and dad with all of his brothers and sisters.
