Friday night I went to book club, and Ryan and Garret spent some quality time together. It was so good to see all of my girls and catch up with everyone. Dinner was awesome! We had salad, lasagna, garlic bread, and cheese cake. Yum! We just finished reading The Color of Heaven and will start reading The Paris Wife. I wasn't sure about The Color of Heaven at first since it started off with the death of a small child...a little too much for a postpartum, easily emotional mom...but I ended up liking the book. It was an easy read and had a happy ending. The Paris Wife should be interesting. It's based on love life of Earnest Hemingway.

Ryan went out of town Saturday night to see his brother, so my mom came up and spent the night with Garrett and me. We did lots of shopping on Saturday. Most of G's newborn clothes are too small now and he didn't have many 0-3 month items, so we had fun picking out a new wardrobe for him. He now has his first pair of jeans, khakis, cargo shorts, and button up "western" shirts. He is going to look adorable this spring!
It was fun having some time with my mom. We splurged and had Yogurt Story, watched The Help again, and stayed up entirely too late. Sunday morning we watched Courageous and cried like big babies. Ha! I bought Courageous for Ryan for Valentine's Day, but we haven't had a chance to watch it together yet. It is a great movie for dads. It shows an excellent example how dads have so much influence on their children and families. Hopefully we will have some down time soon and can watch it together.

When Ryan came home on Sunday, he brought some of the cutest/funny outfits home for Garrett. They were sweet gifts from his Uncle Chad!
Looking forward to the awesome weather this week!
