As we were pulling onto the highway, it began to hail. We pulled over and got under an awning at a nearby gas station. The storm passed and we continued our journey. It was only drizzling when we got to our packet pick up location, but when we came outside again, the rain pored. We all ran to the truck and contemplating going home again. However, the rain stopped just as the race began. We all hopped out and raced to the starting line. The rain held off through most of the run.
After the race we headed to the festival. One of Ryan's cousins was playing in one of the bands, but we didn't stay long enough to see them. Shortly after the race, a cold front came in and the rain began again. There wasn't much to see since most of the vendors had been rained out, and all of the rides were shut down. We did manage to try some German pizza before we finally headed home.

Even though the day was soggy and cold, we still had fun. We are looking forward to finding another 5K to do as a group.
