September 1st marks opening day for dove hunters. Ryan loaded up and headed out with his buddies Friday night to spend the weekend hunting. For several years now Ryan has always hunted with a close group of friends on a dove lease owned by a friend on his named Don. Don had quite the personality and the boys always came home with new phrases that Don had conjured up. This year all of the crew split up for various reasons and all went to new hunting locations. While they were out hunting, they received some very devastating news. Their friend Don had suddenly passed away. All of the boys were shocked by this news. They will no longer "juice, make 'em cry, or crush" without thinking of Dove Lease Don.
While Ryan was hunting little G and I loaded up to spend some time with the family. We met up with Grandma, Mimi, Aunt Diana and Dedra for lunch at Gloria's at The Harbor, and we did a little shopping afterwards. Before heading out to shop, we stopped at the fountains for Garrett to play.
After finishing up the first week of school, it was nice to have a three day weekend to regroup and re-energize. I hope everyone had a relaxing Labor Day weekend.
