I absolutely can not get enough of your sweet smile! You are such a happy baby. In the past two weeks you have really started to become vocal. Your teacher even said that she was having a hard time feeding you because all you want to do is talk. Your dad and I finally saw what she was talking about this week. You will stop eating, flash a huge smile, push the bottle out of your mouth with your tongue, and start talking away. We could listen to you all day.
You are still the youngest one in your class. All of your teachers love you dearly and complement you on your demeanor. The older kids always want to come and look at "the baby." I am so happy knowing that you are loved and well taken care of during the day.
A few weeks ago you survived your first tornado warning at school. Mommy and daddy were so worried about you. All of the kids in your class had to take cover in the bathroom. Your teacher said you slept through the whole thing. While many cities had lots of damage, and mommy's car had some hail damage, the storm blew through our town without leaving a mark.
You love watching the History channel and cartoons with daddy. He loves squeezing your chubby cheeks, and when he does, you always flash the biggest grin. We even found that you have a little dimple in your right cheek, but only when you smile real big. I think you got it from your Pawpaw.
It amazes us to see how strong you are becoming. You always lay on our bed in the mornings while I am getting ready for work. Just recently, you have started raising your head up and trying to sit up. We have tried putting you in your Bumbo seat and you really like it. You concentrate really hard to keep your head up and look around. You are still not fond of tummy time, but we make you do it anyway.
Your fish, Mr. Penguin, and Mr. Frog are some of your favorite toys right now. You love to hit the fish hanging on your bouncy seat. Sometimes you hit it so hard that it swings back and hits you in the face. Mr. Penguin and Mr. Frog are the cutest finger puppets. Dad and I always sing and talk to you with them. You are starting to grab at them and every now and then you will get one in your grip.
You are still sleeping through the night. Mommy and daddy thank you dearly! Most of the time you are eating between 4 and 5 ounces every two hours, and that sweet little bottom still fits into a size 1 diaper.
Only one more month and you will be able to stay home with me during the summer.
