Birthdays

The weekend before last, Ryan and I went out to celebrate one of my friends, Tara's, birthday. We went out to Mi Cocina in Sundance Square. I missed out on their famous Mambo Taxi, but we had a great time catching up and celebrating.

This weekend we went out to celebrate two other birthdays. One of our good friends, Rebecca, turned 30, and our friend, Emily, also had some years to be proud of. We went out to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe in Dallas, and then went to see Hayes Carl play at the House of Blues. Thanks to the sister of one of our friends who works at HOB, we even had VIP seating. It was nice to have a place to sit!

Several years ago, some of us went to see this same guy (Hayes Carl) play. We arrived early and had front row seating. However, about two songs into the show, a 6foot 5 man wearing a cowboy hat weaseled his way right in front of me. We were all dumbfounded at the rudeness. Finally, after several loud, rude comments from all of the girls I was with, he finally got the hint and moved. We all cracked up laughing this weekend when this guy showed up right before the concert began and decided he would set up camp right in front of me.

You've got to be kidding! Luckily, he didn't stay there for the entire show, and we had plenty of seats to move around and find a better view.

Happy birthday Tara, Rebecca, and Emily!!
